This dog lover necklace features a wonderfully whimsical orginal Mastiff or Pug dog sculpture by a Michigan porcelain clay artist. Mary is an illustrator and her training shows in this adorable hand cut Mastiff or Pug dog. Completely handmade and delightful. Signed by the artist and definitely one of a kind. This handcrafted porcelain clay dog is two dimensional and comes with a cute silver dog bone dangle.
I added a pin back and then used a silver pin-to-pendant converter. This sweet Mastiff or Pug dog makes a perfect pendant, but can also be easily detached to wear as a pin. You can even use other pins as pendants on this incredibly versatile necklace piece.
To create the necklace I coordinated beads with the delightful dog collar: chunky fat sunshine yellow Citrine gemstone beads, plus more fat round beads of scarlet red Coral. Luckily I remembered I had these fantastic vintage porcelain cylinder beads in my stash. They look great with their hand painted yellow and red pop art pattern. I couldn't resist adding some three dimensional tan handmade porcelain dog bone beads, too. All hand wire wrapped with silver jeweler's wire with fancy silver accent beads. This necklace is extra long, extra colorful and extra special.
