Is it true that For Love of a Dog is closing? TOP

Yes.  We are in the process of closing.

What forms of payment do you accept? TOP

Most major credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover.
We also accept Money Orders, Cashiers Checks, Paypal and Google Checkout.   
International buyers must pay with a credit card.

How do I pay with a credit card? TOP

When ordering online, you may pay via Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express.  To add items to your shopping cart, just click on the Add to Cart button.  When you are ready to check out, click on the View Shopping Cart button.
You may also pay via your Paypal account or Google Checkout.

What if I don't want to pay with a credit card? TOP

If you prefer to pay with a money order or cashiers check, you may. 
Add items by clicking the Add to Cart button.  When you are ready to check out just click on the View Shopping Cart button and select OTHER as your payment method.  You'll be given instructions for mailing your payment.  We ask that we receive payments within 7 days of the transaction's close.  If you run into a snag or something unexpected has come up, please email and let us know so there are no misunderstandings.
You may also pay via your Paypal or Google Checkout accounts.  Those options are available when you check out.

What is Standard Shipping? TOP

Standard shipping for most of our items is via USPS First Class Mail.  Delivery time is usually 3-5 business days.  The USPS does NOT consider Saturday or Sunday as business days.   You may wish to purchase the US Shipping Upgrade for Priority Mail for faster delivery.  
Some of our heavy items, like our elevated dog feeders, ship via UPS ground delivery and will required a street address.  This is included in our free standard shipping for those items.
Standard shipping for all international packages is via USPS First Class International Mail.  Delivery time varies from 10-30 days (and is often much more).  We highly recommend you purchase the International Shipping Upgrade for USPS Global Priority Mail which means much faster delivery (usually 5-7 business days)    Insurance is not available at this time.
Some of our heavy items, like our elevated dog feeders, can not be shipped outside the continental United States. 
USPS Express Mail is also available on request for an additional fee for USA packages
Standard shipping is FREE for packages shipped to an address in the United States.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us..

Do you provide insurance? TOP
Insurance is extra and available on request.  We will not be responsible for uninsured items after the item leaves our hands.  Insurance is not available for international transactions at this time.

How often do you ship? TOP

Usually daily.  We strive to ship within 24-48 hours after receiving payment.

What is included in shipping? TOP

Standard shipping to packages sent to an address in the United States includes USPS shipping with delivery confirmation, bubble wrap, tissue paper, package labels, ribbon and a gift box.  [note: some ornaments and large items will not include gift boxes due to size.]  We do not provide insurance at this time.
International clients should contact For Love of a Dog with any questions about shipping.

Can I get a discount? TOP

Have you come to our web site from one of our ads or a special mailing?  Simply email us mentioning the publication where you saw the ad or the title of the mailing and we'll send you the special offer code to use while shopping!

Do you do re-sizing and what is your fee? TOP
Yes, we do offer re-sizing on many of our jewelry items.  Fees vary according the gemstones or findings involved, so it is best to ask.  The average fee is $2.00 per inch.  Sometimes re-sizing is free!  Please contact us with your needs.

Do you do custom work? TOP

No.  Since we are in the process of closing, we no longer do any custom work.

Do you have a return policy? TOP
We love our customers and we want them happy!  Here is our Return Policy in full.  Please know that we will not issue any refund simply for Buyer's remorse.  We do not offer returns on international transactions or custom work.

What about my privacy? TOP
Your privacy is important to us!  If you make a purchase from us, you may receive our irregular e-newsletter regarding new items, sales and special discounts.  You may easily unsubscribe at any time.  We do not ever share your email or any other information with anyone or any other entity.  Read the For Love of a Dog Privacy Policy in full.

Do you make donations to dog & other pet organizations? TOP

Yes, we do make donations to dog and other animal rescue organizations and groups.  If you would like to request a donation for your group's event, please fetch our Donation Policy.

How should I care for my jewelry? TOP
Jewelry is fragile and should be handled with care.  Items should be stored in the boxes we provide to protect them from damiage, oxidation and tarnish.  For more information check out our jewelry care page.   That said... the best care for your jewelry is to wear it!
